ABOUT ME

I’m a Yoga Teacher and Educator with 1,000+ hours of certified training experience, as well as, a Meditation Teacher, Breathwork Facilitator, Sound Healing Therapist, Reiki Master Teacher, Cacao Ceremonialist, sacred space holder, Tarot reader and Astrology student, and ultimately a guide devoted to helping others cultivate presence, reconnect with themselves, and experience yoga as a path to greater awareness, healing, and inner balance.

My teaching is rooted in Bhakti Yoga, intelligent and creative movement, somatics, breath awareness, meditation and the traditional philosophical foundations of Yoga.

Growing up and spending most of my life in New York City, my teaching has been shaped by the city’s energy, diversity, and pace. Living there gave me the privilege of practicing in some of the country’s most respected yoga studios and learning from internationally recognized teachers whose guidance profoundly influenced both my personal practice and the way I share these teachings today.

At the heart of my teaching is a deep reverence for yoga as a complete practice. While many people first discover yoga through movement, I believe its true essence extends far beyond the physical postures. It is a living tradition that invites us into a deeper relationship with ourselves through breath, philosophy, meditation, devotion, self-inquiry, and mindful living.

My intention is to honor these ancient teachings with integrity while making them accessible and relevant for modern life. Every class is thoughtfully designed to weave together traditional yogic practices; including mantras, kriyas, subtle-bodies awareness, pranayama, meditation, and philosophy; with an understanding of functional movement, nervous system regulation, and embodied awareness. This balance allows students to experience yoga not only as a physical practice, but as a transformative way of being.

Whether you’re stepping onto the mat for the first time, deepening an established practice, or finding your way to this work through meditation, breathwork, sound healing, reiki, ceremonial cacao, or community gatherings, my intention remains the same: to create spaces that invite you to slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with yourself.

Each modality offers its own doorway into presence and self-awareness, and I approach them as complementary practices rather than separate paths.

Through movement, breath, sound, energy work, meditation, ceremony, and community, my hope is to offer experiences that support the whole person; body, mind, heart, and spirit, and ultimately help you cultivate a deeper relationship with yourself and the world around you.

TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS

With more than 16 years of personal practice, over 1,000 hours of certified yoga teacher training, and a deep commitment to lifelong learning, my teaching has evolved into an approach that is deeply rooted in the traditional philosophy of Bhakti Yoga while listening to the needs of the modern practitioner.

My studies have focused on Bhakti Yoga, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, and Yoga Nidra, alongside extensive training in Meditation, Pranayama, Conscious Connected Breathwork, Sound Healing, Reiki, Somatic movement, Somatic healing, Somatic yoga, Functional Anatomy, Nervous System Regulation, Trauma-Informed Teaching, and Pedagogy. Each discipline has enriched my understanding of the body, mind, and spirit, allowing me to draw from a broad and integrated foundation while remaining grounded in yoga’s timeless wisdom.

Beyond these studies, I have continued to deepen my understanding through years of dedicated practice and ongoing education in astrology. While I do not identify as an astrologer, I enjoy thoughtfully weaving its wisdom, seasonal rhythms, and lunar cycles into many of my ceremonies, moon gatherings, and community offerings where they naturally complement the work.

While every teacher, mentor, and training has contributed to my journey, my time studying Bhakti Yoga at Govardhan Eco Village in India marked one of the most transformative chapters of both my life and teaching.

Living for a month within the ashram and eco-village founded by Radhanath Swami offered me the rare opportunity to experience Bhakti not simply as a philosophy to study, but as a way of life. Surrounded by teachers who have dedicated decades; many more than forty years, to the sincere study, practice, and sharing of these teachings; I was able to learn from individuals who embody the tradition with remarkable integrity, humility, and devotion.

Being immersed in an environment where these teachings are lived each day profoundly deepened my understanding of yoga beyond movement alone. It strengthened my relationship with Bhakti, philosophy, mantra, meditation, and the subtle dimensions of the practice, while reaffirming the importance of honouring yoga’s rich lineage and preserving the integrity of its teachings.

This experience fundamentally shaped the way I teach today and continues to inspire my intention to preserve the richness of yoga’s traditional teachings while presenting them in a way that feels accessible, intelligent, and deeply relevant to modern practitioners.

I am deeply grateful to the many teachers and mentors who have guided my path. The opportunity to study with practitioners such as Raghunath Cappo, Kaustubha Das, Radhanath Swami, Michael James Wong, Sarah Ticha, Bobbie Marchand, Cindy Lunsford, Lori Pagliaroni and many others has been an invaluable part of my journey, continually reminding me that teaching begins with remaining a devoted student.

At the heart of my work is a commitment to remaining a lifelong student. I continue to deepen both my education and personal practice across Yoga, Meditation, Breathwork, Sound Healing, Reiki, Somatic disciplines, Yoga Philosophy, and the many complementary fields that continue to shape my teaching. Through ongoing study, sincere practice, and self-inquiry, I strive to share these teachings with authenticity, integrity, and deep respect for yoga’s rich lineage while thoughtfully supporting the evolving needs of the communities I serve.
